Tanglewood North Apartments

What bills do I have to pay?

Our residents pay for electricity (only for the items you plug-in and the lights,) water, trash, cable, internet & phone.

How do you separate the A/C bill from my electric bill?

Instead of having your own outdoor A/C compressor, all of the apartments are tied into 4 chill-water compressors. These are on our electric meter, not yours. Although we do decide if the heat or A/C is going to be on any given day, YOU CONTROL the temperature within the apartment via your thermostat. There are signs posted above all mailboxes and in the laundry rooms letting you know which system is in use. Obviously, here in Texas, it’s most likely going to be on A/C!!

Who do I call to set up my utilities?

How long does it take to get to campus?

The Capital Metro Bus picks up at our front door. It comes by every 15 minutes during the spring and fall semesters and should take approximately 10 minutes to get to campus depending on stop-lights and how many people you have to pick up along the way.

Please refer to the Capial Metro website for more details.

What is parking like there?

Parking is by permit only. All residents receive a parking permit for their car at no charge (maximium of one vehicle per person on the lease). We do tow after office hours, but we do offer temporary permits for friends and family, all you have to do is come to the office and register your guest. This system is in place to make sure residents are given priority when parking.

How old are the apartments?

Our community was built in 1964-1965. We have had the same owners for the last 40 years, which is rare in the apartment industry! We have made several improvements, such as replacing roofs & upgrading interiors, and continue to make improvements as needed. (You will not find mustard or olive colored appliances here! Our interiors are all neutral colors.) There are several advantages to older communities: larger rooms & closets, deeper swimming pools, and mature landscaping.

What is your pet policy?
